The approximately 90 km/h fast locomotives were based on the design of the standard locomotives what made the supply of spare parts easier. The locomotives were mainly used on branch lines and for the carriage of passenger trains and light freight trains. After the second world war the rest of the locomotives were spread all over Germany, Austria and many other eastern countries.
